Are You Currently In Transition (i.e. Having A Transit)?

If feel like you’re in a transition, have arrived at a crossroads, or are at an inflection point in your life, you’ve found the right page. If you were born on any of the dates listed on this page, this year is a big one for you because you are having a very important transit.

When one of the “outer planets” (Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Chiron, Saturn or Jupiter) transits your Sun it’s normal to go through a massive change in your identity. Each of these planets will transit your Sun at some time in your lifetime, at least once. It may have already happened or it might be coming up and an astrologer can tell you. I’ve designed this page just for you, so you can find out whether it’s going to happen in the current year. The dates I’ve listed below will drift forward each year, so if your birthday is almost, but not quite, on a list below, then it may be an outer planet is coming your way.

An astrology reading can help you sort out what this year means to you personally. In a reading, you’ll find out the nature of the change you are going through, how long it will last, when it will be over and how to handle it for minimum anguish and maximum growth. This is the way to really get in the driver’s seat of your life.

Are You In A Chiron Transition, Having A Transit Of Chiron To Your Sun?

If you were born on any of the following dates, 2020 could be a year of profound healing for you:
March 21 through 29
June 22 through July 1
September 24 through October 2
December 22 through 30

What it’s like:
Healing takes as many forms as there are realms of human experience, so I cannot say exactly what form this will take for you without actually looking at your chart. I can say that this year you will probably have a wounding experience related to your very being or existence. Be aware that this wounding is not as it seems. It is not actually a fresh wounding in the present, but a reopening of an old wound from the past. Inherent in that reopening is the opportunity to heal the past wound—all of it. It is as if the Cosmic Doctor has broken your leg because it was not properly set in the first place. This is painful, but real healing comes of it, along with the freedom to be your truest self.

January 15 through 22
April 14 through 21
July 17 through 24
October 17 through 24

What it’s like:
This year brings a time of testing and you may be questioning your capacity to be a self-disciplined adult.  Possibly the things you have dedicated yourself to in the past have lost their meaning and now you are questioning how much of your identity you can afford to vest in those things.  No doubt the voice of the Inner Judge is louder in your ear than usual this year.  Are you really the grown-up you say you are?  The hard realities of your situation are right in your face, impossible to avoid.  So don’t even try.  Accept that you are a work-in-progress and set about doing that work—because when you do, you can turn fear into self-mastery.

Are You Having Your Saturn Return? This Is A Major Life Cycle Transit

If you turn 29 or 58 in 2020, this will be a year of hard work, pressure to perform, achievement and deserved reward.

What it’s like:
Like most folks born in your year, you will be having your Saturn Return.  Your Saturn Return is a time when feelings of responsibility, duty and even guilt prevail.  You’ll feel a deepened sense of the seriousness of life and an added pressure to get your career together.

If you are turning 29 or 58 this year, your Saturn Return might be in Capricorn or it might be in Aquarius. You can find out by checking both of these infographics. Look for your birthdate in the date spans at the top of each infographic:
Saturn in Capricorn
Saturn in Aquarius

Once you know for sure whether you have Saturn in Capricorn or in Aquarius, you can find out a lot more by getting the recording I made all about it, available at the bottom of its infographic page.

If you are 29 this year, and your Saturn Return is in Capricorn, it’s likely you’ve heard the critical voice of your Inner Judge your whole life, but now is the time for you to behave like the consummate professional you’ve always known deep down you could be. It will not be easy, but clarifying your direction, setting goals and pushing ever onward toward those goals is what you must do. This can have a feeling of being trapped or it can have the wonderful sensation of the path before you being clear and uncluttered with distractions. Be sure to review your accomplishments at the end of each day, no matter how small. Even baby steps matter as you step up and assume the mantle of authority.

If you are 29 this year, and your Saturn Return is in Aquarius, you have always had trouble getting good mentoring but that’s never stopped you. Your tendency to think you are already more competent than those in authority has. Give yourself a chance to grow up! You will undoubtedly take your place among the most cutting edge in your field someday, but in the meanwhile, coming to understand how things came to be as they are is well worth doing. It’s only on a real understanding of the past that we can build a brighter, newer future—as you are fully intent on doing.

If you are 58 this year, your Saturn Return is in Capricorn. It’s been a long, hard haul, hasn’t it? But so many accomplishments are under your belt now and it’s time to be thinking how you’ll arrange a “soft landing” for yourself at the end of life. Yes, I know you’re a go-getter and you’re not planning on slowing down anytime soon, but you’re not very good at vacations, are you? So the question is, what will you DO with your retirement when it comes (or worse, when it’s forced on you)? Start to get ready now, by mentoring the competent and eager young people who are around you. Lead them strongly and cultivate them warmly and you’ll be paid back in dividends, just when you need it the most.

If you are 58 this year, and your Saturn Return is in Aquarius, then you’ve probably been pushing edges in your field throughout your career. This may have won you awards and special notice for brilliance and a tendency to work outside the box, but at this point you’ve got to ask yourself this hard question: has your eccentricity made it difficult to get people to work with you on the things that interest you most? Your ability to stay stimulated in your field absolutely depends on the colleagues you associate with and your capacity to avoid being so edgy that you alienate them. There—I said it. Now what are you going to do about it before it’s too late?

What you are experiencing:
Your Saturn Return.  Look here to find out more about it in a reading, including exactly what it means for you, best ways to handle it and its precise timing.

It’s incredibly useful to know when your Saturn return starts, when it ends and how its rhythm goes, so you can take advantage of this important life-passage.  Your chart is unique and this period will leave an indelible stamp on your career and your upcoming mature years.  It’s great to be aware of it while it is happening and to be able to influence it, rather than just being influenced by it.

The Saturn Return is a serious milestone in the human life cycle—after you’ve passed it, you will be an adult in a new way.  Any parts of you that you’ve been holding back, waiting for the maturity or the recognition you associate with true adulthood, will now be free to blossom.  Hunker down and do the hard work of vulnerable relating and the recognition you crave will come to you.
